   Start learning Mandarin

   Begin steady, structured Mandarin study, through school, a tutor, or an app with real feedback. There's no rush yet, the goal is a consistent habit.

2. 冬Winter

   Learn how China's universities are grouped

   Get familiar with C9, 985, 211 and Double First-Class, and read about why other students choose to study in China. Nothing to decide yet.

3. 春Spring

   Keep your grades solid

   Focus on a well-rounded record across all subjects. It's early, but consistent grades from now on build the transcript you'll submit later.

4. 夏Summer

   Try a low-stakes first exposure

   A short language camp, an edutrip, or an online exchange can help you find out if China is genuinely interesting to you, before it's a big decision.

Exact dates, language requirements and test-score minimums vary by university and programme. School-year systems also vary by country, so use whichever year is closest to your own. Always confirm on each university's official admission site.
